Arriving at Palermo in a gorgeous sunset, we flew along the coastline before descending into the tight circuit for Bocca di Falco airport, a former military airfield drenched in history. The Aero Club were immensely welcome, sending out a car to guide us to the parking area, where we organised a taxi, fuel, and planned some local flying over the coming days to take in the incredible scenery of the Sicillian coastline and Mount Etna.
